Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter for WPDE-TV in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she worked at WCBD as anchor for the morning show and as a crime reporter. Her reporting on the streets of Charleston about the police's leniency toward DUI cases led to an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the DUI incidents. It was reported that the Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with its Best Report of the Years Award in all South Carolina Media. In the years following her stay at Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and also as an investigative journalist. She then was hired by Access Hollywood to work as an anchor on weekends and weekdays. O'Dell is a leading anchor for Access Hollywood. In addition she is a contributor for NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She has covered major events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. Alongside co-hosting the Pre-ShowArrivals in preparation for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. Other co-hosting credits include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
